Our attention to health and safety issues, and respect for the environment are key company priorities not only because these are longstanding ELLAKTOR values, but because we also consider them an important part of creating value.

Our activities have an explicit social and environmental impact, therefore we explore the development of a property, based on its ability to blend harmoniously with its environment.

This approach is not simply a company statement, but is evident in our developments, for example:

Alimos Marina:
On Sunday 17th April, Nea Marina Alimou carried out an underwater beach cleanup in Pier 4, in cooperation with the volunteers from the “Beach Cleaning” team. The divers picked up a hefty amount of garbage from the bottom of the sea, which was then weighed and categorized.
The initiative was organized on the grounds of the “Blue Flag” certification and took place under the auspices of the Municipality of Alimos and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy.
Present during the clean-up was Mr. Harry Theoharis, Parliamentary Spokesperson of Nea Dimokratia as well as Mr. Stefanos Diamantis, President of the Alimos Municipal Council.

Water saving by using water outcome of waste water treatment plant for underground irrigation system.

Lofos Edison:
High ratio of green to built areas.
Irrigation and boring systems for watering.
Use of natural gas instead of oil for heating systems.
Restricted car traffic within communal areas and extended pedestrianized areas.
Neutral colours of the buildings’ exterior allowing the estate to integrate with its environment.

Ampelia Kantza:
Ηigh ratio of green to built areas.
Irrigation and boring system for watering.

Veso Mare:
Renovation of 8 listed buildings with traditional materials (e.g stone) to emphasise local heritage.
Local suppliers used where possible in order to support local businesses.
Creation of specific green areas.
Continuous educational and cultural events for the local community.

Escape Center:
Use of wood to blend harmoniously with the environment.
Preservation and use of existing olive trees as part of design.
Continuous educational and cultural events for the local community.
